Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Since our last Newsletter, early this year, People At Their Best have helped 5 businesses articulate their strategic plan, facilitated more than 40 executive coaching sessions, delivered over 30 leadership workshops, helped launch 2 new businesses, run 1 Mayoral campaign, corrected over 100 university exam papers, published 2 articles, administered countless psychometric surveys, ran several engagement and customer satisfaction surveys and had more than 200 coffee meetings. I always feel privileged by the breadth and depth of what we do to help our fantastic clients.
New Social Learning Platform: We have also launched an on-line forum called iLearn which allows subscribers to discuss leadership issues, pose questions, ask for advice or simply tell us what you’re thinking about. We encourage you to go to our website and check it out.
Welcome to Our New Clients: We are thrilled to be working with Suncorp and Serafin Ag Pro and indebted to both of them for the opportunity to challenge our own capability and expand our thinking. I always feel we learn more from our clients than they learn from us. We also partnered with the Australian Institute of Company Directors to deliver workshops around the country on the role of ‘People & Culture’, especially in helping organisations to grow – see link below for a Q&A published by the AICD. Very shortly we will also commence working with Flavour Creations, a truly innovative and inspiring company as they drive an employee culture of high performance.
New Research and Thinking: As usual we have been busy researching in our continuous endeavour to learn more rigorous and evidenced-based ways to help you. Please have a look at our latest helpful resources:

Seasons Wishes: Over this holiday season remember to S.T.O.P. – Slow down your breathing and take a moment away from your work; Take note of what you are thinking and what you are feeling; Open up and be honest with yourself about how you have been behaving and acting; Pursue values and ensure what you do next is aligned with those values. This is the best way to take back some control over your behaviour and stop yourself being hijacked by your emotions. This is also an excellent way to build resilience during this trying time.

Hi PATB team, I must say that I did NOT do what you suggested in your summer newsletter, but I now wish that I had! I could have used the following at New Years drinks!
But I do hope to make amends in January and stop more;
“Over this holiday season remember to S.T.O.P. –
Slow down your breathing and take a moment away from your work;
Take note of what you are thinking and what you are feeling;
Open up and be honest with yourself about how you have been behaving and acting;
Pursue values and ensure what you do next is aligned with those values.”
STOPing each day is about the best way to build resilience and prevent us being hijacked by our emotions. Nearly everything we do each day is simply a reflex – a reaction to a stimulus with very little conscious thought. The year is flying by Mark and I can’t even remember New Years’ drinks now.
