Contributing to this article, ‘Is Kindness A Lost Art?’ was difficult and left me feeling vulnerable. There is a terrible sadness in witnessing the head-long rush into narcissistic individualism, rampant consumerism and dog-eat-dog competition. More so, the loss of the ideals of the Enlightenment and its democratic institutions, is truly heartbreaking. While it might not be enjoyable reading, I hope you find this worth reflecting upon.
